For those of you who may not have heard of the Hunger Games yet, the Hunger Games Trilogy Book Set by Suzanne Collins is a set of three fiction novels set in the future in North America. The world as we know it has been destroyed and divided into twelve districts and each year twenty four children aged between 12 and 18 are chosen ( 2 per district) to compete in a gruesome "game" that is televised, somewhat like a reality show across the nation.

The Hunger Games: Training Days Strategy Game

Yes, there is even a Hunger Games Board Game for the strategy game fans. I was quite surprised to see this to be honest and while I am a huge fan of the trilogy I wasn't sure it would transfer well to an actual strategy game.

I was wrong, unlike many strategy board games, the Training Days game is pretty straightforward and uncomplicated to play, having said that you do need to apply strategy to your moves to win. The game is played in rounds with event cards that the players (tributes) can then bid on to win. The idea of the game is to win favor and become the most popular tribute from your district.

Sound's simple but in truth this game will have you thinking and plotting, forming alliances and using your skill and mind to be the best. An entertaining game that is suitable for all fans of the Hunger Games Trilogy.
