Note: if you want it with the side discharge chute, make sure you ask for it. Most buyers don't bother with it so it's an 'ask and you will get' deal. Sent free, no extra cost. Should you buy the Lawn Boy? That would be a definite yes. A reliable, user friendly machine for under $250.

The deck cuts an impressive 22" path through the lawn, cutting down on the amount of passes, and the side discharge chute easily handles the mulching and distribution. You've got plenty of play with the height adjustment - the handle moves through seven different heights, and the 139cc engine will take the 'hard' out of hard work.

As a lawn mulching mower, it's an awesome machine. You'll find that it powers through a decent sized yard with ease, plus it's maneuverable, highly user friendly and is almost ready to get to work right out the box. If you're wanting a machine that simply gets on with the yard work, then this is the lawn mower to buy. Quality build, solid and reliable.

This Lawn Boy gas powered mower is almost the same as the first one featured - the difference being the variable speed. Although some can live without it, if you've got a yard with varying terrain, being able to power up or down makes life easier. Despite the fact a few folk seem to find the odd fault with it, it's packed with user friendly features and like the none-variable speed model, it will cut through yard work with ease.

It's fantastic value for money - you can't find fault with a gas lawn mower that's got a Briggs and Stratton motor, which are known for their quality build. The power it puts out is awesome, plus it's relatively quiet and lacks the ability to smoke up like some gas/oil lawn mowers do. The Poulan gas lawn mower is the best from the cheap mower range. This is the one to buy if you're after a straight forward basic machine that does nothing other than get the yard work done. Its got an admirable 500 series Briggs and Stratton engine, which provides a lot of power when you factor in its size and weight.

It comes fully assembled, possesses five height adjustments and uses a side chute to disharge the clippings. It's got an inspiring 22" cutting deck, something you don't always find on the more expensive models, which tranfers to less time spent keeping the yard maintained. An entry level gas mower - but still possesses lots of bang for your buck.

The last of the best gas lawn mowers is the Lawn Boy self-propelled model. This does exactly what it sounds like - takes the push out of mowing the lawn. Between the powerful Briggs and Stratton variable speed 6.5 gross torque engine and the self-propelling rear wheel drive, it will do more than just cut the lawn down to size. The three in one bag will hoover, mulch and compact the clippings, though if you'd prefer to distribute them, simply place an order for the side distribution chute at point of purchase.

The other differences between this and the previous two Lawn Boy models are the key-start operation, and the self-drive bar that allows you to vary the speed from slow to a fast paced walk - all you need to do is guide it along its path. The 20" cutting deck is height adjustable, the power is awesome yet the mower surprisingly quite and the build quality is solid - and feels it. Definitely worth spending the extra dollars if you're looking for mower that does most of the work for you.
