I will start with this wonderful Green Eggs and Ham picture. This is one of my favourite illustrations from the book, one of the last pages, when the Sceptic has finally decided to try Sam-I-Am's manic meal. I absolutely love the expression of distaste and reluctance on the Sceptic's face; as if he were heading to the gallows rather than just trying some weird food. I also love the faces of all the other characters who wait expectantly to see what the result of this gourmet food-tasting event is.
Another thing I love about this Green Eggs and Ham picture is that all these people and animals have just survived a train crash and been flung into the sea but rather than get themselves to safety they all watch expectantly whilst Sam-I-Am beams in delight as his devilish delicacy is about to be consumed.
This poster is wonderfully colorful and is complete with the Green Eggs and Ham title. If anyone wonders what to buy me as a gift, try this, I won't be disappointed.

The wonderful thing about this illustration is the curious expression on the face of the Nameless Sceptic and the way that the only color, other than the red background, is the bright green of the Green Eggs and Ham, making them stand out.

This wonderful Green Eggs and Ham picture comes in the form of a 20 x 30 inch color poster. This illustration is of the moment when the train, and all of its occupants, plummet of a cliff onto a passing boat, which becomes another likely place in which to try the food.
Again, the fantastic thing about this picture, apart from the vivid colors, are the expressions on the faces of the trains passengers and driver, as well as the fox, mouse and goat, who are all completely oblivious to their fall. Only the Nameless Sceptic has an angry expression as he grows tired of Sam-I-Am, not that he is bothered by the train crash!

Dr Seuss always captured the most wonderful expressions on the faces of his characters, and once again, this is a beauty on Sam-I-Am's face.
I just love this series of three small poster prints which when put together spell out the word "HAM". The letter "H" features Sam-I-Am, "A" displays the humble plate of Green Eggs and Ham while "M" features the Nameless Sceptic. Together they make a really cool display.

This is a good Green Eggs and Ham picture to finish with, coming, as it does, from the end of the book. Finally the Sceptic has a happy face as he eats the green gourmet treat and this is backed with the quote, "I do so like green eggs and ham! Thank you! Thank you, Sam-I-Am."

Did you ever have a green eggs and ham-themed party? (I did, although I substituted the meat dish since I don't eat ham and pork.)
Until recently, I had green eggs and ham posters. I have four poster-sized mirrors into which I tucked them. It's good that I did so instead of hanging them up because I offered them to an area library for the children's section. The staff was delighted in the excellence of their condition and theme. The posters were framed and realized quite a price in a recent fundraiser.
