Illusion
by ArabellaMortimerHendry
The world is full of mystery and illusion. Here I explain my views about it,
Illusion
We love to be hypnotized and enchanted by illusionists and magicians. The thought of something happening which defies the law of this world, and that is being performed right in front of us fascinates us. Even the concept of the trick being an illusion is beautiful. The magician performing has worked years perfecting it making sure that it is flawless. Anyone who has determination and ambition can accomplish anything they want!

Every single day we live in an illusion a world that is created by the media and which is fed to us through the morning papers and pro-grammes. As I said in a previous article the majority of us like being part of “the flock” and not venturing out of the box. But the people that enhance there spirituality can come across the real world. The world which is not full of media and such like. If you are reading this and are quite spiritual then hopefully you will understand what I mean. If not let me explain.
While growing up we are fed all sorts of information from various sources (Television magazines etc.) And then when we have finished with college or university we step out into the real world. We are still being fed information from the same sources but we don’t really pay much attention to it. We feel disconnected from society and wonder about what the future might hold for us. Are we going to be happy and successful in life? Or are we going to be stuck in a dead end job which we hate?
I believe that during this time of our lives we have the ability to go through our “spiritual awakening” we can enhance our brain power and existence merely by meditating and listening to our gut instincts. Do not pay attention to negative things in your life or thoughts. Concentrate on how to better yourself and learn from situations of the past. For some people who are very grounded to the earth this may prove difficult as it might be hard to detach from the social life around you and concentrate on you as a being. To clear your mind from thoughts and concentrate on being “at one with yourself”

The next-to-last sentence in your last paragraph advises that "For some people who are very grounded to the earth this may prove difficult as it might be hard to detach from the social life around you and concentrate on you as a being."
Have you seen The Village by M. Night Shyamalan? The community there moved away from materialistic lifestyles that they perceived as always hostile to spiritual awakenings.
The next-to-the-last paragraph describes a "disconnect" between the illusive world, as epitomized by society, and the real world, as epitomized by the spiritually awakened.
Will that disconnect always be so or will it be possible for illusion to become the exception?
The observation in your first paragraph that "The thought of something happening which defies the law of this world, and that is being performed right in front of us fascinates us" perhaps answers why someone achieves going against the aphorism "As I said in a previous article the majority of us like being part of “the flock” and not venturing out of the box" in the second paragraph.
Would seeing that law being altered and arriving at more self-beneficial results -- albeit illusorily through magic -- not inspire one to attempt exchanging what seems real but is really illusion for what seems elusive but is really real?
Your first paragraph notes that "We love to be hypnotized and enchanted by illusionists and magicians. The thought of something happening which defies the law of this world, and that is being performed right in front of us fascinates us. Even the concept of the trick being an illusion is beautiful. The magician performing has worked years perfecting it making sure that it is flawless."
Might the appeal of an illusion, a trick, something magical not account for the soccer terminology for one player scoring three goals in one game as a hat trick?
The word notes achievement and admiration there and evidently also as a hockey term.
Online sources also place it among cricket terms as three batsmen being dismissed with three consecutive balls by the bowler. So that sounds like there might be a bit of accomplishment and awe there, like for a hockey or soccer player or for a magician.
A dead-end job that one hates for appropriate reasons, such as you configure in your next-to-last paragraph, has such an overwhelming personal and professional consequence for the job-holder in question.
What would be the most proactive way of holding down that job if despite it not being what one idealizes it does not harm the environment or people or sentients and it pays the bills? Would meditation and yoga be sufficient?
The computer crashed before I completed my comment about your competent photography. When it doesn't crash ;-D, it sometimes does not cooperate with smaller images such as the one leftward of your title.
The image looks like it includes one building more forward of another one more toward the left side. What would those buildings be?
The image to the left of your title and the image below the subheading Illusion an article by Arabella Mortimer Hendry are clear despite the former being taken looking down from a distance and the latter being taken looking up into sunlight.
What type of camera did you use for them?
Your last paragraph advises, "Do not pay attention to negative things in your life or thoughts."
The illusion and magic performances that I remember attending actually, or vicariously through films such as The Illusionist, are comic or positive.
Would that not account for their appeal, perhaps most particularly during the spiritual awakening phase that you discuss above? Would they not be in line with choosing positive over negative life and thoughts?
Revisiting your wizzley caused me to consider the most effective meditation schedule.
Is it most spiritually advancing to meditate according to a set meditation-time schedule? Or is it most advancing spiritually to respect that schedule, with the understanding that it may be difficult to "not pay attention to negative things in your life or thoughts"?
Would really strong intrusions suggest replacing or supplementing a fixed meditation-time schedule?
Arabella Mortimer Hendry, Thank you for the tips on looking at glasses as half full instead of half empty and on meditating. Your comments about illusion, magic, mirrors and smoke make me think of magic acts I saw as a child and two of my favorite films, "The Illusionist" and "The Prestige."
