It's still nice to do some of the activities mentioned above, however, if we take a moment to just smile, for no apparent reason, that can be helpful too.
If we take time to think of a pleasant thought, that releases endorphins in our bodies, and we didn't have to drive to the gym to achieve it.
Some people get wrapped up reading a good book. Time flies by without them even realizing it.
Some people like to sing in the shower, and elsewhere.
What do you like to do that is calming to you?
{{{Purrr.}}} Now that's something that I feel calm about doing. My cats are soft, and they usually enjoy being petted. Do you have any cats or other pets?
People who do some kind of activity on a regular basis are usually healthier and calmer. It's preferable that they like it. It can be going to the gym, going dancing, cutting the grass, walking the dog, etc.
One of my favorites is dancing. Sometimes I put on some music while a load of laundry is finishing up, and dance any way that I want to.
Sometimes I put a music channel on, on the TV, and dance to the videos. Sometimes my cat joins me.

...have a cuppa (tea). I'm a Brit, what else? (preferably with a cat on my lap.) We don't have one but I am known for borrowing friends' and neighbors' felines as required.
