So, What Makes Pendleton, SC So Special?

History, Hospitality and Happenings

Pendleton Fall Harvest Festival

Pendleton is a small, quaint village nestled in the foothills of South Carolina.  The town was established in 1790 and has preserved much of it's proud past while enjoying the present and planning for the future.  The Town of Pendleton has fewer than 3,000 residents but also claims the many wonderful people in the outlying rural areas.

It is the people of Pendleton that make it so special.  They care about each other and care about their town.  Volunteers are actively involved in almost all activities that go on in this special place and they do so willingly and with much enthusiasm.

The Fall Harvest Festival and Scarecrow Contest are sponsored by the Town of Pendleton and organized by a committee of Volunteers and Town Staff.  This year the Clemson Area Chamber of Commerce is joining to help make this the best festival and Scarecrow Contest ever!

We are looking forward to a great weekend and hope that you will join us either by voting online for your favorite scarecrow and being here in person.

What a fun contest. Scarecrows are such a cool thing to create, the homes and yards of the towns people look amazing. :)K

Pendleton, SC reminds me of Royalton, Vt, where we have less than 2,000 caring people who volunteer to help each other and create a tight knit community. I would love to visit Pendleton some year to view all the delightful scarecrows the town members have created. Thank you for sharing.
