Quiche, Crust less, Quick and Easy, No Oven Required

by honeybee

This is my quick and easy vegetable quiche without a crust. My recipe uses fresh ingredients: eggs, and farm fresh vegetables. Very quick and easy recipe, no oven required.

We all love to eat eggs and farm fresh vegetables. Finding new and delicious recipes to use those eggs in the fridge and that crisper filled with fresh vegetables is always fun.

Creating innovative and novel ways of making yummy meals without an oven is sometimes frustrating, but often rewarding.

Stretching creativity and thinking outside the box, so to speak, or outside the oven.

Necessity has prompted another quick and easy recipe, no oven required.

We enjoy farm fresh eggs and vegetables, available every day from numerous fresh markets in our area. What a treat!

I will show you my quick crust less quiche, no oven required.

Quick and Easy

No Oven Required

I hope my readers enjoy my quick and easy series of recipes. It is easy to throw up your hands and say, no oven; well I cannot make many things I love to eat. I thought the same way, but I wanted to try. Trying new ways and new methods of doing things is the way we create and innovate.

Honey Bees Crustless Vegetable Quiche

No Oven Required

Prep time 10 min  -  Total time 30 min  -  150 cal/serv
Ingredients for 4 servings
3 eggs  • 1|4 warm water  • 1 cube vegetable bullion  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce  • 2 cups fresh vegetables, diced

Step 1

Prepare your vegetables. Dense, hearty vegetables work best. This time I used: mushrooms, potatoes, pumpkin, tomatoes, and red onion. Wash vegetables thoroughly and dice.

Step 2

In a medium mixing bowl, dissolve bouillon and warm water. Add soy sauce. Use a separate bowl, break your eggs and beat thoroughly. Add eggs to bouillon, water, and soy sauce mixture. Stir. Add your diced vegetables and stir.

Step 3

Pour mixture into medium sized metal salad bowl. Set bowl in cooker pan, filled one third full of water.

Step 4

Cover your cooker and set heat on high. Monitor to be sure it does not boil over and be ready to add water if needed. Cook approximately 20 minutes or until firm.

Cooking following this method requires close monitoring of your cooker. To date, following my other recipes, and using the same method: one third filled with water, I have not had anything boil over or boil dry. But, be vigilant and no napping while you’re cooking!

Certainly for the omnivores out there, adding anything that suits your taste such as bacon, or baked chicken, is up too.

Be creative and try any assortment of your favorite vegetables.

Enjoy!
