Product Description: Frozen, breaded chicken patties from the Country Pride brand. I purchased a bag of 10 frozen patties at one of our local grocery stores yesterday evening for $5.49. My wife and I ended up making these in the oven and (after adding them to a bun) served them for dinner last night.

Review
My wife surprised me yesterday afternoon and dropped by the office to visit me for a few minutes. While she was there, the subject of dinner came up and she mentioned she was in the mood for a chicken sandwich. Since I had to stop at the grocery store anyway, I promised to pick up some chicken patties.
I had a brand of frozen patties in mind. However, I was almost floored by the price of that brand and ended up looking for a less expensive alternative instead. The Country Pride brand wasn't the cheapest. But, it was still considerably less expensive than my first choice so I ended up making the purchase. After having them last night, my opinion of this brand is mixed.
Overall, I have to say this brand wasn't terrible. I thought the patties were reasonably decent, at least when taking the fact they were frozen into consideration. They had a good enough flavor to them and, while the breading didn't get overly crisp in the oven, it wasn't something that hurt the overall product either.
I also thought the patties were filling. We ended up making the whole bag because we weren't sure how many we would end up needing. I figured, at most, we'd only have one or two left. But, between the four of us, we only ate six and had enough leftovers for lunch.
That being said, there also wasn't anything overly special about these chicken patties either. As I said before, this wasn't the most affordable brand in the freezer. There was another, well-known brand that was nearly $1 less in price for the same amount of patties. While these were OK, I really didn't notice anything about them that justified spending that extra money on them.
In fact, if you were to put one of these patties next to a chicken patty from a bargain brand, I don't think you'd be able to tell them apart. And, since I don't like to spend more money on groceries than I have to, that was disappointing.

Final Opinion
As I said before, the patties were OK. But, overall, they don't offer enough to justify spending extra money on this brand. As a result, I wouldn't recommend this brand unless it is the most affordable choice.
