There is definitely not enough in the box for our entire family to enjoy this. However, my wife and I have turned to this particular item in the past when it was just going to be the two of us eating it. The main reason for that is, even with purchasing the tomato paste; this item is considerably less expensive than buying the ingredients separately. And, we don’t usually pass up a way to save money.
When we first purchased this product, I did have some doubts about it. After all, whenever I see a low price like that, I do naturally assume I’m making some sort of sacrifice. Other than the smaller quantity, however, there really isn’t much about this product that would make me think I’m not getting my money’s worth.
For one, the sauce is actually not that bad. It’s a little spicy. But, while it’s enough to give the sauce/dinner a bit of a kick, it isn’t anything I would consider to be too much. In fact, I actually like this sauce a little better than some of the jarred sauces we sometimes buy (though I do have to admit, it isn’t as thick as some of those sauces). Also, even though there is a little bit of preparation involved with mixing the sauce together, it isn’t anything that is overly complicated and doesn’t take that long to do.
The pasta also seems to come out surprisingly well whenever we make this. Again, there’s not a lot of it and I wouldn’t recommend this for anything more than a dinner for two (unless you plan on buying more than one box). But, there’s no obvious quality difference between the pasta in this product and what we would normally purchase if we were making a larger dinner.

It's helpful to know about a quality boxed product such as Kraft tangy Italian spaghetti dinner even though I have to remember to get tomato paste too.
I keep a list of no-fuss, no-muss, pre-made, quick products that I can take out of the pantry and quickly extend the number of servings when more guests or more re-serving requests surface than anticipated.
What would you all recommend in the way of canned tomato paste?
