Review of Kwik Trip Kitchen Cravings Breakfast Burger Sandwich

by StevenHelmer

I decided to purchase this sandwich this morning and give it a try for breakfast. Read to find out what I thought of it.

Product Description: Hot breakfast sandwich from the Kwik Trip Kitchen Cravings brand consisting of a beef patty, egg patty, bacon and American cheese on a hamburger bun. I purchased one of these sandwiches while at Kwik Trip this morning and wound up having it for breakfast before heading into the office.

Review

I came across this particular hot breakfast item a little over a week ago and, to be honest, my first reaction was "that looks like a heart attack waiting to happen." As a result of that, and because I wasn't sure if it was something I would actually enjoy, I wound up deciding I wasn't interested in trying it.

However, I was in Kwik Trip this morning and kind of hungry. And, since the breakfast sandwich section was already cleaned out by the time I got there, my options were somewhat limited. So, partly out of curiosity and mostly out of desperation, I decided to give this a try. As it turns out, it was pretty good.

When I first started eating this, I wasn't really sure if I would like the hamburger/egg combination. But, those two things combined (along with the bacon and cheese) were actually pretty good.

I even found I liked the hamburger bun. This is something that is actually a little unusual for me and, normally, when I purchase a breakfast sandwich, I wind up eating the egg, sausage, etc. but leave the bun pretty much untouched. This time, I wound up eating everything.

Largely as a result of that, the sandwich wound up being much more filling than the other sandwiches I will usually purchase. I was able to get through the whole thing but, it filled me up enough where I found I wasn't overly hungry even later in the day and wound up having a light lunch because of it. That, almost by itself, made it worth the money.

Final Opinion

I'm still a little concerned it isn't too healthy for me and probably won't buy it on a regular basis as a result. However, this did turn out to be a tasty and filling breakfast so I would consider purchasing it again as an occasional breakfast treat.

StevenHelmer, Thank you for the practical information and the pretty product picture and the product line.
Eggs are considered more or less perfect foods except for the cholesterol. Beans and rice are supposed to form a more or less perfect protein. I tend to stay away from eggs and rice. But this tempts me, except that I stay away from ham and pork. Would Kwik Trip Kitchen Cravings happen to have it in turkey bacon?
