Product Description: Discount alkaline batteries from the Our Family brand. These batteries come in a variety of sizes and quantities and I’ve been able to find them at a couple different local stores. The price on the batteries does vary by package size but, on average, these are about $1.50 to $2 less per package than Duracell, Energizer and other top battery brands.
Review of Our Family Brand Alkaline Batteries

This is my battery of choice when it comes to my household. Read to find out why.
A Good Bargain
We have two daughters and, as a result of having kids, go through a lot of batteries in our house. And, it’s not just toys either. Since our house has a limited number of working outlets in it, their night lights are battery operated too, taking three AA batteries each.
As a result of this, we are always looking for a deal on batteries. This doesn’t just mean price either. We like purchasing battery brands that are affordable but offer us comparable quality in terms of overall life expectancy. This is a big part of the reason why I started purchasing the Our Family alkaline batteries.
First of all, as far as price goes, these are pretty reasonable. Yes, there are other brands out there that are cheaper (including that brand Dollar Tree sells for $1 per pack). However, these are readily available at a couple different stores in town and are as much as $2 less than some of the more expensive brands.
What makes that savings even more impressive, however, is the longevity we’ve come to expect from this brand. This is especially true in our daughters’ night lights. As I said before, there are cheaper brands out there. But, most of those start to die out after only a few nights in the night lights. The Our Family brand typically will keep those lights lit for 2-3 weeks. This is comparable to what we would expect from the top brands without the full expense.
Another thing I like about this brand is the fact I do have a choice when it comes to quantity. This isn’t always the case with bargain brands and I like to have some flexibility because while the smaller, more affordable packs work for me most days, there are times (such as around the holidays) when I prefer to buy batteries in bulk. Having that option is a big plus.

Final Opinion
As was mentioned before, this isn't the most affordable budget-brand of battery out there. However, as far as overall value goes, there are very few that even come close. If you are looking to save money on batteries but don’t want to give up too much in terms of overall quality, this is a brand I would recommend looking for.

Comments
StevenHelmer, Thank you for product lines, pretty pictures and practical information.
Lifespan and quality of batteries are concerns for me, what with battery-operated car keys and battery-operated flashlights.
Under what conditions (cool? dark? dry?) do you store the batteries that you buy in bulk?
