They can fly up to 35 miles an hour, and some may go even faster in short bursts.  They prefer to do their distance flying at and after sundown, and can easily cover over 350 miles in a single night.

If you get a chance to see a stand of flamingos as they start to fly, you'll notice that their long legs come in handy.  They make a running start - often in shallow water - when they take off.

Surprisingly, it's not only cheerful, but CAN be used by men as well as women. Th pink color of these birds doesn't mean all artistic representations of them are 'girly.' Some designs are decidedly gender neutral.

I LOOOVE the pink jeep. Although it might not go with my Lucy red hair. (Yes mine is natural). Flamingo decor is so cheerful.

@DerdriuMarriner - Thank you for your visit and comments! No, I don't have a yard flamingo, but my older brother has a big one in his yard. It has a spinning tail.
That is a pretty flamingo print on the floor mats, and maybe Zazzle will offer floor mats at some point. Wouldn't that be nice?

CruiseReady, Do you have one of those pink flamingo figurines that people often put in their yards? What with their popularity, I'm wondering why there aren't smaller ones that one can put on an office desk. Or maybe there are, and I just haven't seen them.
The pink flamingo would make a great seat cover pattern for a jeep like the one that you have displayed.
The cover, mat, and shade certainly would brighten up any car interior. It might even be a great idea to have one of the pink flamingo air fresheners since cars need to be aired out from all the traffic smells.
