Samsung Galaxy Tab

Now, if you are a techie, this is probably not the place for you.  I am all about the everyday, practical use of the Galaxy Tab.  So here is my list of important bits.

1. It is pretty lightweight – Amazingly so for the power it carries.  It is even lighter than the Ipad 2 and we all know that is pretty light.  This is a very pertinent point for me as it will be carried along with diapers and snacks for the children so I really do not want to load myself down with too much extra weight.
   
   
2. The Shape and feel of the Samsung Galaxy Tab is simply beautiful.  It looks expensive and definitely has the ‘Wow’ factor, like a lot of Samsung products.  I still stop and stare at the Samsung Flatscreen Televisions; Samsung does great design.
   
   
3. It has Flash Compatibility – OK, be honest now…Does that mean anything to you?  Well, it seems to mean a lot to people considering what tablet to get.  Unless you are an Apple fanatic, the chances are someone somewhere will have mentioned that the Apple Ipad refused to accommodate Flash which is software that currently drives (fewer and fewer) websites.  So some sites on the Internet would have been incomplete while using the IPad 2.  This is not a problem with the Samsung Galaxy Tab (Do you understand the relevance now?  Good!)

• So the Samsung Galaxy Tab runs on the Android platform and I keep getting told that there are not enough apps for it but that depends on what you are using it for.  
  
  
• If you need a reading device, well, there is the Kindle App for that, you can get your email, you can play games (of which there are numerous on the Android platform). Personally, not sure what else you would need.  Having loads of Apps is only useful if you will use them.  More and more of the things are created each day so if there is one in particular you want and cannot find – Give it a minute and someone somewhere will create and sell it to you.  That person could even be YOU!
  
  
• The Battery life is excellent so you do not have to charge it all the time.
  
  
• You can take pictures using the inbuilt camera on the front or the back of the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
  
  
• You get excellent screen quality  and 720P video recording  as well as the ability to edit your videos – Definitely not bad!

The main negative for me is the lack of expandable memory.  I would have preferred to have a SD slot somewhere on the instrument but alas, they missed this out, probably due to the slimness of the Galaxy Tab.  For this reason, going with the 32GB version might be a beter than the 16MB just so you have that extra space.

Extra Space that can be used to upload movies, pictures and more.  Netflix can also be run on the Samsung Galaxy Tab so this could replace your television.

It will help you with the electricity bill as well…

Overall, even with the mini drawback, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is the best tablet on the market.  Watch this space for talk about the Samsung Galaxy 11.1.
