The Good And Bad About The Schwinn 420 Elliptical

by ered222

A review of the Schwinn 420 Elliptical treadmill.

With so many treadmills and other fitness equipment, it can be a sometimes daunting task to choose the right one.

The Schwinn 420 elliptical trainer is one of the cheapest ellipticals you can buy, considering the features that are included.  With this machine you can exercise in half the time you normally would if you were lifting weights at the gym or jogging on a treadmill.  This is because this elliptical helps to reduce excess fat that your body you may be carrying and replaces that fat with muscle. It is designed to make sure every muscle is working and performing in a way, which helps you burn the most fat possible.

With the Schwinn 420 elliptical you use both your arms and legs, which when you compare it to an ordinary treadmill it doesn’t even come close.  Because with treadmills you are only working your legs.  This elliptical forces you to perform motions that you normally wouldn’t find on a treadmill.  These extra motions activate different muscles which in return will get your heart rate up sp you can loose fat in the shortest time possible.

The Good

The thing that I like most about the Schwinn 420 elliptical trainer is that it is a lot more user friendly when comparing it to other ellipticals.  What I mean by user friendly, is that it comes with a water holder, an mp3 player holder, a built-in fan to cool you down, a reading rack, and speakers.  And these are only some of the great features that are included with your investment.

Anther thing that comes with the elliptical is fitness programs that you can workout with, that help you get the most efficient workout with the machine.  Whether you just want a quick start guide that helps you start using this machine or you want a more detailed workout plan that makes you really break a sweat, this elliptical has both.

The Bad

The thing that I didn’t like about this product is that it takes a while to set up and install.  Although it comes with all the tools you need to put it together, I wish it was easier to put together.  Anther thing that I didn’t like about this machine is that the display panel doesn't light up.  So at times, depending on the lighting in the room, you may not see the panel that well.

I also didn’t like that the fan wasn’t adjustable.  I would have liked the fan to be able to swivel, so that no matter what your height, you could get a good breeze from the fan.

After reading a couple of reviews, I have learned that many people complain of the noises that it makes.  They say it squeaks and is loud.  But on the other hand, some other customers say they had no problem with squeaks or other noises.  They say it was one of the quietest ellipticals they have ever bought.

Specifications

The Schwinn 420 elliptical has a sleek design and with the features mentioned above, it is a great versatile machine.  One other feature that I forgot to mention was the transport wheels that comes with the elliptical, which allows you to move the machine easily.  It also has a heat-mounting feature, which tells you your heart rate, which is important if you are trying to loose fat.

It is a lot smaller than other ellipticals, which is handy if you are limited in workout space.  It comes with a brake system to stop the machine when you want without you forcing it to stop.

I liked that Schwinn provides a warrantee on the Schwinn 420 elliptical.  The frame of the machine has a five-year warrantee.  And the other parts on the machine have a one-year warrantee.
