Skylanders Giants Release Date

The attraction to the wave 4 Skylanders Giants can be summed up with two simple characters; Thumpback and Eye-Brawl.

While it is certainly true that Activision has released a number of outstanding figures over the past few years, nothing compares to these two Giants.

Thumpback is massive and wields a rather large anchor as his primary weapon of choice.

But don't let his size fool you, he also has a number of awesome special abilities that can easily be graded to without much effort.

His combos are nice but, when it comes to inflicting damage on your enemies, nothing is quite as fun as Thumpback's powerful chopping ability.

Eye-Brawl is also an extremely fun character to play with. Sure, he looks a bit creepy but it is pretty cool to see his eye ball jump out and shoot lasers at your opponents. Personally, the ability to summon additional eye balls into battle only adds to the Eye-Brawl's overall awesomeness.

Wave 3, if I am being honest, was a major let down. We were supposed to be able to finally get our hands on Thumpback and Eye-Brawl; not to mention Hot Dog.

Toys R Us even released information indicated that the official Skylanders Giants wave 3 release date was December 21, 2012. This information turned out to be only partial accurate.

A few characters were indeed released in December. These figures primarily consisted on minor characters such as Lightning Rod.

A cool new Skylanders Giants lightcore figure called Shroomboom (pictured here) was finally available via individual wham shells but other than that nothing special was released.

As far as waves 1 and 2 are concerned, just about everyone could find these figures on the official Skylanders Giants release date; which was October 12, 2012.
