Smart shoppers know that with some diligent shopping they can find Nili Lotan sweaters for a fraction of the three and four digit prices that they see on luxury websites. In fact I love shopping for used designer sweaters. No one will ever guess that you didn't buy it new. No one will ever know that you paid $180 for a sweater that orginally cost nearly $1,000. All they will see is a woman who knows her brands and how to pull it together.

Neutrals Continue to Lead
Women who know their fashion know that it's all about the neutrals this year. Even this winter I've seen a lot of women layer soft whites, grays and muted olive. Nili Lotan believes is betting on this trend in 2015. She is featuring white sweaters in her Spring 2015 ready-to-wear line.

Niki Lotan Tribeca
I don't know if it's the effect of the blockbuster Fifty Shades of Gray or that Boomer women with their gray hair now look great in gray, but gray is the new IT color. Every designer is featuring it and Nili Lotan is no different.
Niki Lotan was born and served in the Israeli military for two years. After studying design and moving to New York City, she became the chief designer at Nautica and then Ralph Lauren. Eventually she set up shop on her own in 2003 in the trendy Tribeca Ditrict of New York City. Not surprisingly, she returned to her roots and produced a line of military-inspired clothing. Her military jackets became the very cool fashion statement of early years of the Milenium.

The v-neck sweater you see below is very Nili Lotan. It is very simple with just the right amount of slouch. It whispers I'm rich and I don't have to show off. It has an ever so subtle high-low hem, that keeps our womanly hips from looking to big.
Discounted Nili Lotan Sweaters
Niki Lotan sweaters are meant to be worn for years. That's why it's okay to pick up a second-hand one on eBay and treasure it. Luxury consignment stores are all the rage now. That's because some women just have to have this year's new v-neck sweater. In order to recoup some of their fashion budget, they place them in second-hand clothing stores that specialize in designer fashions.
Pre-Owned Clothing is Eco-Friendly
Used Niki Lotan clothing is just recycling by another name
Your friends and co-workers will not be able to tell the difference between this years Nili Lotran's gray sweaters and the ones she produced this year. The difference can be hundreds of dollars, if you're willing to wear pre-owned luxury clothing.
This is actually a principle of sustainable living. Nothing says that you have to wear frumpy hippie clothing to be environmentally conscious, if you want to recycle fashion. I have found very expensive designer clothing in Salvation Army Thrift stores.
It's also very smart gift giving. My family loves a bargain. If I can shop on eBay or hit a luxury consignment store in Manhattan and get the right-sized Niki Lotan sweater for $45, my mother and sisters would love seeing the price tag.
With my family budget, that is only way that I'm giving NYC couture fashion as a gift.

While some luxury thrift stores display items as well as designer boutiques, some don't. They spend their time and budget finding the right items and pricing them as low as possible. So you shouldn't discriminate against them. You've just got to use your imagination to picture the clothing on you and not photographed on a hanger or table.
The best way to do this is to go to the designer store and try on a few of the best pieces. Yes, they are cut beautifully and made from fine fabrics. Becoming familiar with the designer make it less likely that you'll be fooled and buy a knock-off.
