The Ancient Philosophy of Feng Shui

Feng Shui... traditionally Chinese is an ancient oriental system of aesthetics believed to use the laws of both Heaven (astronomy) and Earth (geography) for helping one improve the essence of life by acquiring positive energies . In nutshell, it can be used in various eco-systems to bring luck and prosperity by removal of negative energies.

Sometimes you must have noticed; when you stroll into a house, you get a good feeling from the surroundings, positive vibrations, and other times you can noticeably become uncomfortable or agitated by the settings at the same home.

One just can't comprehend the thought and the reason for the discomfort but can certainly perceive the negative effect of the surroundings.... The obvious reason is that mind can sense, you might want to call it intuition. That's also because one may not be aware that the surroundings elicit positive and negative vibrations but the sensitive mind still is able to fathom in some instances. In many individuals this trait is visible, but majority of us are not able to register.

Whether or not you have the awareness, the principles of Feng Shui can help.

Origins of FengShui

The ancient Chinese sensed this tug-of-war between the positive and the negative forces that exist in the universe. They wanted to find a way to control its effects on individuals, so they studied and created a theory, designed the philosophy and called it Feng Shui (pronounced fung schway) that harnessed the forces of nature to bring prosperity into the home. If one has to translate it literally, feng means “the way of Wind”, and shui means “the flow of Water”.

There is another study that suggests the ancient philosophy originated from India when Buddhism prevailed. The monks who traveled to China brought the core principles of FengShui with them.
