Thing 1 and Thing 2 are two blue-haired, romper suit-clad twins that come charging out of a box produced by the giant Cat in the Hat in the Dr Seuss story of the same name.
In the story two children, Dick and Sally are left at home whilst their mother goes shopping on a dark, wet day. With nothing to do the Cat in the Hat turns up and creates havoc, with the assistance of Things 1 and 2, much to the consternation of the children's pet fish.
Thing 1 and Thing 2 are supposed to provide fun and games for the children but flying kites indoors and similar games just result in lots of broken items around the house and panic when mother comes home.
In short, Thing 1 and Thing 2 are naughty, full of mischief and kids love them!
