This is the best selling of all the tool belts and comes from the Milwaukee camp. As a tool maker, they've got to have some idea about what we want from a tool belt and when you're wearing this one, you feel as though they probably do. It's impressive in it's function - it doesn't seem to need any additional extras, and it's packed with some cool nooks and crannies.

It's manufactured from polyester ripstop - tough enough to withstand pretty much anything, it's got a total of 3 spots to clip/hang tools, 32 separate pockets and space for your cell or radio. It fits from medium up to large - 30 to 38" - and once on and loaded, it takes the strain without becoming one. It works, it's effective, all you're kit is close to hand. A great price, great quality belt and lots of bang for your buck.

This is the best custom tool belt and comes as a belt/suspenders combo. The suspenders help create a better weight distribution - meaning the belt stays around the waist rather than sagging or shifting around. The fabric is polyester 600 denier and feels strong enough to handle the usual demands of a good quality rig.

The pockets are larger, easier to get your hands in to retrieve tools and accessories, and the clips and loops for a hammer, tape measure extra do the job well. It feels robust, it stays where you put it, there's a lot going on for the price tag and and it won't let you down. A high end apron - there seems far more to it when it's in your hands, and well worth the price tag. Excellent tool bag.

This is the best of the carpenter tool belts - and for the price it gives a lot of value. There's enough pockets for nails, screws and pins - the small stuff, and double hammer holder that feel comfortable when it's one and in place. It's another 600 denier polyester manufacture, built to stand up to a hard days work - plus the weight expectations or any half decent rig.

No suspenders with this one but it stays put pretty well and all the stitching, rivets and small details look well thought out and solid. With 11 pockets, a couple of places for hammers, room enough to stash your tape measure and a variety of accessories - as a carpenter or woodworker you don't need more from a belt. Absolutely the best bang for under 20 dollars.

Next up - the best electricians tool belts - this one from Dewalt. A fine looking belt, it's well set for a day out with an electrician. It's tough enough, the manufacture including a double roller belt buckle, plus it's padded around the inner, adding comfort. here are six main pockets in a variety of different sizes and a further 24 that allow for a range of smaller accessories.

There's a main central pocket with a secure closure that works best with connectors and similar and in all - this is a belt that will forgive you every time you crawl around in tight places or dump the whole lot, fully loaded, in the back of the back of the truck. Great quality, surprisingly spacious, well designed - top buy for the electricians and testers among us.

This is the best of the leather tool belts and not set at a price for the faint-hearted but - what do you get for the mighty expenditure? Well - it's a high denier polyester and leather combo. The nylon makes up the larger areas, the leather comes in for the edging - which actually does more than it looks. The leather reinforces wherever it's stitched - the pocket bases, the pockets tops, in and around the buckle and roller.

The pockets are deep, well made and feature the well know 'Fat Lip' opening, and the belt itself is fully adjustable and made for a supreme comfort fit. There's a two in one centre hammer or tool holder and the whole rig, fully loaded, feels solid, capable and high quality. This is one for those looking for a belt that will work seriously hard - and last and last. Not the cheapest of tool belts but certainly the highest quality and a great investment.
