A vintage wedding is the perfect venue for do it yourself centerpieces. Unique and different centerpieces can be created to showcase your chosen time period or era.
Consider using vintage items in a grouping on guest tables as your centerpieces. This is not only "one of a kind" centerpieces but is a very eco-friendly idea -- reusing old or outdated items in a new way.
You can still use florals and candles as accents but they don't have to be the main focus.
Shop in your local thrift stores, flea markets and even estate sales and yard sales. These can be treasure troves of possibilities for making vintage centerpieces.
Stack old books and use them as a riser for other vintage items like lanterns or candlesticks. Incorporate old maps or brochures, vintage vases, tea cups, garden statuary or old advertising tins and jars. Add a single flower inside one of the items.
Go for the rustic look using chalkboards for your wedding or canning jars for centerpieces with single stems in them. Use vintage everyday items and give them a twist -- A scale as a floral arrangement holder, a typewriter on the guestbook table...the possibilities are endless!

Wow, this is great, I knew vintage was coming back in style thanks to some businesses that are really into it. I never thought about it attracting wedding gals. Of course, right? This is a wonderful page about the styles and ways to prepare and participate. Gotta add it to my pinterest Seven Wedding Junction page, so your great pictures and ideas I can save.
Vintage weddings are and can be very classy. I don't think I've ever been to a vintage style wedding.
