The clamp is foot operated and will apply up to 1000lbs of pressure, the jaws of the vice can expand to a lengthy 37" wide, and the placement and release of material is done in a flick of a switch.

The manufacture and design is awesome - the tripod legs deliver a solid, level and stable work area and the whole thing collapses down into a compact, easily transportable piece of kit. It's versatile - clamps onto doors in situ, will hold large items securely in place while you work on them and aide precision cutting and drilling. It's built like a tank, works like a dream and is worth every penny of it's current selling price.

This is the best stand alone planer stand, and useful if you don't have the room to mount a bench planer on an existing bench. It's sturdy, well designed and built to last. It's easy to manoeuvre, due to the casters on the base, and will comfortably accommodate most bench planing tools.

The top is ready for a Dewalt planer but a simple job of drilling holes in the right place will make it work with other woodworking machines. There's a lower shelf (not shown) that you can install should you need to do so and it will also house a variety of other bench top power tools. The brackets are a heavy steel gauge, adding to its strength, and overall, this is a great choice for those looking for an alternative surface is space is at a premium. It's also good for those that require a jig for work around the home - it really does make furniture making/alterations and carpentry tasks far more straightforward.

The instructional DVD is easy to follow and understand and will get those with the most basic knowledge to get started. It comes with everything - clamp, screws, case, depth collar, bits, wrench, dust shroud, portable base and more. A cracking set up - an amazing yet simple jig with an equally amazing price tag. A keeper.

The Grex P635 is the best nail pinner bar none. Despite the fact that it lacks some of the features of more expensive models, it does a superior job of pinning delicate carpentry work without causing any damage. It's self-adjusting and will accept nails from 3/8" up to and including 1-3/8" - it's reliable, solid construction feels balanced in-hand and the rear exhaust has a silencer that ably reduces noise.

Jams are easy to deal with, simply pop off the nose cover, and it's impressively compact design really lends itself to the tasks that involve little space and tight corners. Absolutely top notch for moldings, dowel pinning, window beading, joints, frame assembly and dozens of other tasks - superb wood working tool - recommended buy.
