The Abraham Lincoln of the title is indeed the famous US president, but in this version he has a secret identity as a Vampire Hunter. History and fantasy are woven together throughout this movie which is produced by Tim Burton.
The Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter movies is based on Seth Grahame-Smith's cult novel from 2010. The movie is being made very quickly after the publication of the novel.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is an alternate history novel. It takes real events from the life of US President Abraham Lincoln and weaves in a gothic horror storyline. Abraham Lincoln was also a vampire hunter.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays Mary Todd Lincoln, Abrahams's wife.

The Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter director is Russian-Kazakh Timur Bekmambetov.
Timur Bekmambetov has form in the Vampire genre. He's known for the Night Watch and Day Watch vampire movies set in modern day Moscow.
These are Russian language movies, but became popular internationally and you can get dubbed versions of the movies.
