Revamping the Allotment
These are useful ideas, thanks. In particular the facts about wood bark were valuable. There is no local source of stoneware, but the ideal place is North Wales, where there are tips of old slate chippings. They would be very useful, but they are ...

Revamping the Allotment
Wood bark also does not wash away as easily in a downpour. What about places that may have scrap stoneware, such as a cabinet maker (I'm thinking kitchen countertops) who may throw out pieces of extra material. Maybe they would be happy to ...

Revamping the Allotment
Some people on the allotment cover their fabric with wood chip, but I think that I might use ornamental bark, as it is properly sterilized and so does not introduce weed seeds onto the fabric. I am not averse to leaving the fabric ...

Old and Traditional Recipes of Lancashire, England

Old and Traditional Recipes of Lancashire, England
I will look out for razor clams recipes that pertain to Lancashire. Morecambe bay potted shrimps are a traditional food though.

Gonder Pottery Collectibles Made in the Forties
Most pottery collectors think this ceramic maker was a bit too flamboyant or kitschy. He helped pave the way for the Fifties, I think.

Old and Traditional Recipes of Lancashire, England
Morecambe Bay is great for shrimps, but I suspect that there are areas of the Lancashire coast near Southport or Formby where you an also catch lots of them. By the way, razor clams are found on beaches in western England, I saw plenty of ...
