Switch Plates - Lighthouses and Coastlines
I like many coastlines, and for me coastal walking equals mountain walking as a much loved activity. I love the Cornish coastline. My wife and I in 2009 had a lovely walk around the inlets of Fowey [pronounced foy] on the south coast of Cornwall.

My Favorite Books to Read and Re-Read
Oh, I did love Jonathan! Then there was Little Women... I was fortunate enough to play the part of the youngest sister in a community theater production of the play when I was a young girl. It was absolutely thrilling!

Gifts for the Cat Lover in Your Life
The best cat lover gift I ever received was a sand sculpture of a tabby. Very lifelike! I really like the Kitty Cat Snack Attack canvas print... it's unique.

Switch Plates - Lighthouses and Coastlines
Agreed! I love the symbolism of them, too. Lighthouses have a number of positive connotations for so many people.

My Favorite Books to Read and Re-Read
Sometimes you will read whole books again, but at others you will go back to favourite sections of a book that you enjoyed. I have re-read C.S. Lewis' Cosmic Trilogy in its entirety, but sometimes I re-read the ending of Benson's Lord of the ...

Pride and Prejudice
Jane Eyre
Jonathan Livingston Seagull

My Favorite Books to Read and Re-Read
Gosh, all of these titles brought back memories! While I have not re-read them since I was teen, I have fond memories of all. I think it is time I visited the bookstore!

Staying Human
Thanks. You are right about so-called Liberals, who demand tolerance from everyone but themselves. I call these people pseudo-liberals.

Staying Human
Excellent! Indeed we should not be Luddites, and just act out of fear of machines taking over. Nor should we exploit people like bad capitalists, or mandate that everyone be liberal except the liberals themselves who are somehow allowed to be ...

How to Build a Snowman
We are more prone to ice than snow, so it is a treat when we do get some! I guess a six inch snowman would qualify, but it probably not worth the effort. So sorry that you miss out on this wonder of nature!
