Coir Welcome Mats
@ DerdriuMarriner - I understand it's sometimes used in place of sphagnum moss, and is also useful commercially in growing mushrooms.

Forest Gardening
frankbeswick, What with Dutch and English grandmothers, I've loved cultivated and wild plants, domesticated and wild animals all of my life. It's so wonderful to be able to share that love with those near and dear, and your flowers, fruits, and ...

Coir Welcome Mats
CruiseReady, Coir also is nice in gardening. It's impressive and a bit scary to watch people climbing up to coconut tree tops both old-fashioned style with bare feet and hands as well as more modern style with cleats, gloves, and harnesses!

The Charming English Cottage Garden
The gardens are nice when they contain herbs, but those beautiful cottages add to the overall appearance. They would bot look the same with other style houses.

The Charming English Cottage Garden
A very pleasing article. But don't think that because modern designs have been introduced the cottage garden is disappearing. There are still cottage gardens, and some people specifically set out to construct one. You are right about the lack of ...

Algonquin Round Table

Awesome American Bald Eagle Biker Patches
I have always admired the American bald eagles. I am not sure but I think they are a threatened species. They look majestic on biker's patches. They remind me of speed and elegance. Once upon a time, they ruled the sky and could be easily ...

Unfolding the Secrets of Gourmet Cheese
@frankbeswick - In my country I have only relished paneer. We use it in sandwiches and also make curry. I would love to taste goats cheese if I can find one.
