The Vegetarian Chronicles; Part 2: 1st Week Review
I left my Thermos at work by mistake in the week and was thoroughly irritated to find that I had nothing suitable for my green smoothie. I'm going to try again on Sunday (visitors tomorrow) and make some again for Monday. I successfully managed ...

Pictures Of Texas - Hill Country Wildflowers And Longhorns
I'm from San Antonio and have seen many of the things you have. The Hill Country is certainly being developed, but there will still be areas to visit because people fight to keep green space and natural ares for the public.

I don't have any children but I'd like this stuff for me. I'm a Halloween freak! I love everything related to Halloween.

The Vegetarian Chronicles; Part 2: 1st Week Review
MBC, it's definitely something worth trying. I've only actually used it twice so far. I think the weight loss was mostly due eating so many plant foods. Today actually marks week 2 and I was still at 197lbs. I'm not surprised though, I'm ...

How to Raise the Tower of Light as Psychic Protection in Wicca
We do an exercise very similar to that in my qi gong class. It's never been suggested that it's for protection. Very interesting.

I just love you Frank. I may take the plunge sooner rather than later. I remember reading something a while ago about growing plants indoors in jars. I think I'll work on that on a weekend when I'm not busy.

I agree, never have cooked with tofu. Don't think I plan to either. But your weight loss was impressive so maybe?

The Vegetarian Chronicles; Part 2: 1st Week Review
I don't think anyone has cultivated the illegal kind successfully, as they tend to be field species [though I might be wrong.] There are many field species, and the ones that have been cultivated are agarics, belonging to genus Agaricus, whereas ...

The Vegetarian Chronicles; Part 2: 1st Week Review
I have this fear of growing mushrooms and someone being like "she's growing 'shrooms!" -the illegal kind, and I'll get into trouble. That's just me being silly though. I'd love to actually grow my own food, mushrooms included.

The Vegetarian Chronicles; Part 2: 1st Week Review
Mushrooms can easily be grown indoors, If I were you I would focus on ordinary mushrooms, which are known as agarics, and oyster fungus. There are good books on mushroom growing. Foraging can be tricky, and you need a very good guidebook, as ...

How to Write The First Line of a Novel
I know this is an older piece but I really enjoyed it. I've always written little stories but now I've been toying with an idea for a full novel. I've got all the tools I need except for the courage to write it.

I didn't know you could grow them inside. I don't know that I have a particularly warm spot in my house. It's been quite cold lately and what keeps me warm is my space heater and my two cats.

The Vegetarian Chronicles; Part 2: 1st Week Review
If you have a reasonably warm spot in your house, try shiitake mushrooms. I struggle with these because I don't have a warm enough spot. But I have grown other kinds of mushroom, such as field mushrooms and oyster fungus.
