Five Facts You Might Not Know About King Richard III
Hey, Jo. Yeah, it is young - even considering the fact that average life expectancy was much shorter than it is in our day and age.

Tenerife, an Ideal Holiday Destination
I've never been to Tenerife but I really think I might go - living in London there's no excuse! It's easy to reach from here. That's a great article Mike - thanks! :)

The Truth about the Princes in the Tower
Yes, Elizabeth Woodville really was caught between a rock and a hard place there. I've not considered the theory that she had them smuggled out before. There were certainly plenty of Woodvilles and their supporters in and around the Tower of ...

The Truth about the Princes in the Tower
Really interesting. I find Elizabeth Woodville's position(s) so fascinating. Like Treathyl (cmoneyspinner), I think she somehow smuggled them out, which is why she never accused anyone of murdering them. But I know nothing about the topic :). ...

In the steps of saints and druids:the way of the Celtic church
Thanks Jo. You are, of course, right. Irish Christianity was influenced by Druidism, as you can see in the design of the Celtic cross, whose circle is an ancient druidic symbol for the sun. It stands for the presence of the divine in nature, ...

Do that, you won't regret it. I'm trying to organize a flight there myself for late September.

Oh you made me want to visit Cyprus - it looks so beautiful! But, not in the summer heat for me, I have to take your advice and go later in the year.

Babyliss MiraCurl Now Available to Public
Too funny! I just saw a demonstration of this tool at the CosmoProf store while shopping for the salon last week. It really looks neat. I don't have enough hair for it but have thought about getting it for the girls.

In the steps of saints and druids:the way of the Celtic church
I really enjoyed reading that. To my mind (and reading) there is a lot in Irish Christianity that was influenced by Druidism, at least in the earliest days. However, I'm half out the house right now, so I'll have to elaborate on that later on.

Maria Bochkareva: WWI Founder of the Battalion of Death
From her point of view, Russia needed her. Plus she couldn't sit 'idly' twiddling her thumbs, while Russia burned. She was very patriotic.

Why Richard III May Not Have Killed the Princes in the Tower
I'm very pleased to hear it! And thank you too for engaging me in such conversations. I always find learning invigorating. I don't want to take credit for your idea. Go ahead and suggest it in the forum. :)

A Brief History of Old London Bridge
I didn't tell you that shortly after you wrote this, I visited London. We arrived at London Bridge tube station to visit the Tower. Walking across the bridge I imagined it all as you'd described it back in the day. It really enriched the ...

Five Facts You Might Not Know About King Richard III
I thought I knew most of what there was to know about Richard, but even I learned stuff here. For example, his age at Tewkesbury hadn't clicked with me. That is very young to be leading an army!
