Ah yes....I understand. I used to use waxed paper to preserve pressed leaves, with an iron, back in the day. Not interchangeable with parchment paper!

Your round carrot cake sounds delicious! Just remember if you decide to use parchment paper for an easy transfer that it really is parchment and not waxed paper. Waxed paper and a hot oven just don't mix. (Yes, I did that once!)
