Lovely article, thank you for sharing. Happy the show goes on! Yes, a little rain just gets you a little wet but doesn't dampen the enjoyment. Your wife took gorgeous photos, everything looks so fresh and colorful and alive.

The Tatton Show 2023
I see from the credits that you delegated photography to your wife. It is good that the garden shows are continuing. I believe it was the queen who fancied visiting some shows, and I doubt the current monarch will have the same interest. I ...

The Great Wave of Kanagawa from Japanese Artist Hokusai
Your next-to-last subheading, How did the great wave come into being?, describes the Kanagawa wave as one of 36 blocks relating to Mount Fuji. It explains that the blocks furnish their audience with Mount Fuji at different times and from ...

Was Tirumala Tirupati Balaji Temple a Buddhist Shrine?
Indra appears to be a god who fares well in every religion that includes him. Is it just me, or is it likeable the way he is in Buddhism and Hinduism? A Shiva follower receives the moniker Vaishnava. What would an Indra follower be named?

Snow White and Its Symbols
Your third symbol, Mirrors, intrigues me. I never manage to decide firmly whether mirrors are there to keep a bad person on a bad path that the mirrors know will result in the triumph of good or whether mirrors think that the bad will win if ...

A Forest for the Future
Chestnuts are not native to Britain. The Romans introduced sweet chestnut, but the horse chestnut came from the Balkans. I am not aware of any American chestnut being imported into Britain. If such an import had happened it would have been rare.

Thinking About Painting Your Walls Pink?
The Barbie film released here last week. I see pink clothing and footwear just about everywhere. All that clothing will need to be washed after wear. Would there already be such a thing as pink dryers and washers for your pink laundry room ...
