Back in the day, we were only allowed to have a popcorn popper. On Sunday nights when the dorm kitchen and dining room were closed we'd have popcorn or heat soup in the popper. A hot pot sounds like a great idea!

My children used Faber-Castell - all five of them (children) at school. They (the coloured pencils) lasted very well and had a great range of colours.

This is such a great project. We've had such a cool spring that my flowers haven't been doing well. Hoping my bridal wreath and my orange poppies will bloom soon.

I somehow missed this series. Maybe I can catch it in reruns.

Thanks for the article - I would love to create some products on Zazzle and the bookmark idea appeals to me. I have heaps of photos to use.

Oh Rich, you must watch it! It's a classic!

I must be one of the few people who has never seen The Wizard of Oz!

@mandee - did you recognize the mug?

A DVR is a very usefool tool to have when watching American Idol. It turns a one hour show into around 35 minutes. That's 25 minutes of my life I can reclaim each week to do other things :)
This season was a letdown for me. James was my pick and as someone who can't stand country music, the final announcement held little interest.
As for the judges, all I can say is bring back Simon Cowell, all is forgiven. Steven Tyler seemed to be on another planet all season, only able to say "beautiful" when some hidden production assistant prodded him with a stick. And Jennifer Lopez, while pleasing to the eye, had very little constructive or critical to say.
Let's see how The X-Factor does when it arrives later in the year ;)

Your baby picture is adorable and your stories are always fascinating to me. You have lived a very interesting life indeed!

Ah... you're talking about my youth. And I don't mean as a kid. I was lucky enough to work at Hanna-Barbera so I'm one of those adults you knows way too much about kid-vid!

Backlinking and promoting are two things I really need to work on. Thanks for the great info, Paula.

I wish I had heard of notebooking when we first started homeschooling. I love the way notebooking can replace tests and incidentally creates a portfolio.

The beginning of the Wizard of Oz always fascinated me the most. The tornado always seemed to menacing but in all actual fact was quite gentile with Dorothy.

Great idea using the Wizard of Oz characters for T-shirts.

Beautiful pictures and great presentation, you use tables with grace... have to try them as I like the effect on page.
