I write about charity a great deal because I like to remind people that things aren't all doom and gloom like how the media reports it. There are people doing a lot of good in the world, giving up time, money and effort to help those in need. I write about Oxfam a fair amount because of the huge variety of work they do -- they help poverty both in the UK and overseas, they organise emergency responses, they run shops and events that promote recycling and donating.
