On paper the Breville Cafe Roma has plenty of features to get excited about. The following is an honest assessment of what really stands out as the strongest features in practice. 

Sleek Look: I have a "thing" for stainless steel kitchen appliances. I know the most important thing to look for is the end result, but a great looking machine makes the package complete. This is the kind of appliance you want to keep on your kitchen counter because it adds ambiance! 

Simple to Use: For such a high quality end result, the Breville Cafe Roma is relatively easy to use. If you have zero experience with espresso machines than you will probably need to crack open the manual and do some trial by error. For folks who have used a similar machine before, you will find this one quite easy and intuitive to use. 

Easy to Clean: For anyone who has used higher end machines, the Breville Cafe Roma will be a breeze to clean. The filter is extremely easy to maintain (just do it regularly). Rinsing it once a day with the rest of the dishes should be fine. Certainly do not let it sit for more than a week without cleaning or you will start to see problems. 

Lovely Crema: One of the distinct features of this machine is the ability to create premium quality crema. Simply put, no other espresso machine does it better. 

Great Customer Service: If you have ever had an issue with Breville products, you will know that their customer service is excellent. Tech support is helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. Any problems or even questions that I had were cleared up easily with a phone call. 

DISADVANTAGES

Price: It can get pricey, especially if you buy it at a physical retail location. What your are getting in terms of quality (dual-wall filters, etc...) is a great value. For the best deals, be sure to check out Amazon frequently. 

Plugged Filters: Some users complain of the water filters getting clogged every so often. If you can't be bothered to clean the filters on a regular basis then you will certainly run into some problems. If you remember to clean them out on a weekly basis you should be fine.
