You may ask a friend or relative to find out what your partners idea of the perfect wedding proposal is.  What is it they've dreamed about.  Get these people to find out and report to you keeping this a secret.  You may want to ask more than one person, but not to many, don't give it away being to obvious. 

If you and your life partner are all about the laughter a funny proposal may be the ticket. Going out on a limb possibly embarrassing yourself is the best and biggest way to propose marriage to the one you love.
