DIY Water Marbling Nail Technique
Water Marbling is a DIY Nail Technique that will give your nails a Marbled/Tie Dye look that is amazing.
What is Nail Water Marbling?
not to worry I am going to tell you...
Nail Water Marbling is a fun way to create great looking nails using Water and a variety of Nail Polish Colors that creates a Marbled design on your nails. This will give your nails a professional look without paying the big bucks !!
I recently came across this while looking for fun Nail Designs to do on my daughter's nails. I had no idea this could be done and I was amazed. I knew it was something I had to try out immediately. I did my daughter's nails using this method and I think they came out great for my first time. I will share a photo of her nails below.
What I love is that anyone can do this to their nails !! It is fun and the end result is very cool !!
The Nail Marbling Technique does take some work, but it is worth the effort and you will get so many compliments - Trust Me !!
Here is what you will need to do Nail Water Marbling:
- Nail Polish - at least 3 or more colors for the Marbling
- Base Coat Polish - White works best to get your colors to stand out
- Top Coat Polish
- A Small Bowl or Cup - Disposable or one you will not use again
- Water
- Toothpicks
- Scotch Tape
- Nail Polish Remover
- Q-Tips
This is what you do:
Start by placing tape around your fingers leaving your nails exposed. This will help in clean up after you dip your fingers in the polish. Next fill your Bowl/Cup with some luke warm water or water that has been kept at room temperature.
Next take the Nail Polish you are using and starting with one add a drop of polish into the water. The Nail Polish will sit on top of the water and form a circle. Next add another color and continue doing this multiple times alternating your colors. I would do this at least 6 times.
Next take your toothpick and drag it through the Nail Polish colors to create your Marble Effect. Now dip your finger nail (you will be able to do one or two at a time) into the Polish in an area where you like the design. Place your Finger in on an angle. The Polish will cling to your nail in the polish pattern that you place it in. Take your toothpick and swirl it into the water - this will pull all the Nail Polish that was not used away from for your nails. Gently pull your finger out and you will have a very cool Marbled Design now on your nail.
Then begin the process again for the rest of your nails.
Once you have done all your nails and they are dry you can remove the tape around your fingers. Then use a Q-Tip to clean up around the edges of your nails.
Last give your nails a Clear Top Coat and you are done !!!
Of course you can add Rhinestones and Sparkles as well - that is my favorite thing to do !!
