Ever Had a Wizzle That Just Won't Go Right?

Or, should I say, where everything goes wrong?

I've been working on my Zazzle store today, so I was late starting any articles for Wizzley.  I had some ideas lined up, but decided to do the 'quickest' first.

The 'quickest' took forever!  I've now lost the will to live and I think that's my cue to down tools, at least until tomorrow.

I was writing about vampire costumes for adults.  I opened up Amazon and checked what was there.  I started my page and started writing.  That's when someone knocked on the front door.  An hour later, my guest had gone and I'll totally lost the thread of what I was writing.

Picked it up again and made a decent start, but then something seemed to snap with Amazon.  Loads of the costumes that I found there registered an error on Wizzley.  'No hits' was the reply.  Then you'd get the ones that would show, but with the wrong picture, or with a blurred image.

I hate tatting with images.  I'd much rather do the writing and hope that the fairies add the images themselves.  Each time I'd spent ages faffing around, trying to get the products to work, while losing the thread of my writing again.

It took bloody hours!  I started that article at half 12.  It's now half 5 (there were more interruptions in real life too).  How on Earth did something that simple take so long?!

In the end, I'd so lost my rag with it, that I decided to post as is, then come back at a later date and add more.

*sigh*

Has anyone else ever had an article, or writing session, which gave them this much grief?

yours

Jo

Many, many times. Too many to count. I can't believe, sometimes, how a simple little subject becomes a major research project. And then there are the interruptions.

Me too, normally it is a hint by life that you need to take a break and do something else and / or that that article is simply not meant to be written yet ... ;-)

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Jo that so happens to me at times. Today nothing was going right so I tossed my hands up headed to the market bought some cherries, came home and assembled a pie tossed it in the oven came back to work and AGAIN nothing was going right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Made a lunch date, finished the pie put it in a nice ceramic pie dish with cover took it to a friend, left it on their door step and met my other friend for lunch. Had a great lunch, went shopping came home my brother called, had a delightful call with him and now I'm back.

Some run on huh?  I feel your pain Jo, sometimes we just have to take time off or end up wasting a lot of time creating a mess. Me thinks it's the writer spirits telling us to do something earthly today. Felt good to buy fresh cherries, make pie crust and create a great looking pie. I like to make pie, eat pie and even better give pies away.

Maybe you need to bake a pie or what ever it is you do.

What do you do to shake off the everythingsgoingwrongs???

Lol Katie, I am pretty sure that Jo meant another type of games than the Highland ones ;-) But I am looking forward to your article about that one!

Perhaps my "Poltgergeist" article can assist you lovely ladies with this issue... I've unlocked WHY this phenomenon happens, how it escalates and why most people can't do anything about it- but they can, they just don't :)

I forget if I published it or not yet... lol, but I'll link you if/when I do... I think you'll find it enlightening :)

You guys have a poltgergeist and no I don't mean a ghost or anything esoteric, it's a "ghost in the machine" so to speak but not by any means any entity walking behind you and kicking you over and over again haha...

gotta go, hubtress (girl version of hubby?) and I are cooking a smashing dinner...

The trouble with me is, I have an idea, I think it's a great idea and then I start writing. Then I realise that I need to do a whole lot more research, then I do more research, then I have another idea....I wish I could focus more! :) One page suddenly becomes four, and they're all half completed.

no I found it and it's in draft mode- it's literal title is "What Is A Poltergeist Really? You'd Be Surprised, And Likely, You've Been Possessed By One Daily" I'm working on it right now actually- it's written and was popular on HP, mainly formatting it and it will be up...

that other article is good too :) I think I touched on the topic in there slightly though :)
