Congrats on all the Viglinks $$$. I got my first payout from them too which is encouraging and also handy as my Amazon payments are not going well right now. A reminder that diversifying and having many income sources is good.

Thanks to DustyToes I've been encouraged to start up on Zazzle too which should work well I hope with Wizzley and other writing platforms. So lots of exciting times ahead :)

@kinworm, one of the tricks for times like these is to examine your repertoire of income generating streams (ie, articles, zazzle, whatever) and figure out when they are most likely to earn money.  Then figure out where you have holes in your calendar, and plug them with new content that is aimed for those times of year.

For instance, I have content that does well in March, and in June, so I have been looking for content that does well in May, and July-Aug.

Thanks Paula. Yes I definitely see a huge gap in my summer article content. Most of it is aimed at Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's Day. I've been busy adding all of my online articles into a database so I can keep them organised and also know what times of year they target.

Still got loads to learn on this online earning business! It's slow to build but very satisfying when you get that trickle of money in :)

I think that it is typical that we all aim for the obvious shopping times first, ie Christmas, Halloween, etc.  But we all need to eat for 12 months of the year, so we also need to earn 12 months of the year.  Maybe it won't be as much but you never know, you might find a niche that pays out best in August.

Need to brag ;-) I just got my sixth Editor's Award for this article:

Not quite as many as JoH. but still not to bad for a second language English speaker / writer SY

Congrats Jerrico on 50 articles!  I don't know how you writers crank out all those wonderful pages, but I am impressed.  (I'm not really a writer, I just come here to pretend.)

And congrats Sam - I've been enjoying your very informative pages.  I haven't read the one you mention here, but no doubt it is very worthy of the Award..!  It is never apparent in the least that English is not your first language.    Surprised

Thanks Dusty :) I'm at 63 (in a min) now... I'm writing a few but most of them are already written I just have to move them over and dust off the content and add a coat of Wizzley paint- takes about as long as it does to write one but without the headache of research... I also chip away at 10-20 a week moving between several tabs open in edit mode, by the next week I've set up 10 or so ready to go and just start publishing them in bulk :) On hubpages when I originally wrote them I barely got out 1-3 a week, took me 4 years so I'm no faster than you, just have a back log like Ryan and almost everyone who comes here from other sites :)

Jerrico

p.s. but you have something I just can't seem to accomplish, even after 63 articles published- an editors choice sticker :) I don't know what these fellers want in an article to pick it as cool and choicy, I thought the regrow teeth one (which is gaining popularity in droves) would be cool enough, but I guess they all have their teeth still haha.... I did manage to reach the "popular pages" list scarcely....
