You can switch it off, if or when it is implemented on Wizzley.
I had a look in my Viglink dashboard and it was already switched off, anywhere else I need to look for? Forget it, found it in my edit screen for the article! Thanks!

Just to make sure, Sam...did you disable Linkweaver on your article, too? This feature needs to be adjusted on a page-by-page basis.
Edit: Oops...i hadn't read your edit. Never mind then.

All is well now, Chef ;-) Thanks for chimming in!

Actually, there is still a problem. Even when having turned off Viglink for a specific article both here in the Wizzley dashboard and on Viglink itself, it still inserts from time to time links. I guess that is Wizzley's impression share? So, either I have a lot of links inserted half of the time and a clean article for the other half and don't make any money from those links or I have lots of links inserted all the time and the chance to make money with them ...
I have nothing against Viglink, far from it, but it seems to add an awful lot of links into the text from time to time. One of the last articles I published got five links inserted, all in the top third of the text and all pointing to Ebay. I don't think that is very healthy SEO wise. All these links are nofollow, which is good, but five links to the same site is a bit OTT imho.

I have LinkWeaver disabled in my Viglink account, but have not turned it off on each individual article on Wizzley. I have not seen any links inserted in my articles. Atleast none that I noticed.

We're still working on these issues, Sam. If an author does not want to enable Link Insertion, Wizzley will disable it for their impressions as well. Also, the number of link insertions (if enabled) shall be limited, in the future.

Good to hear Chef, on that particular article I am using already the link module to point potential buyers to alternative sites to buy the product, so Wizzley still gets their share ;-) Just want to limit the amount of links on the whole article ...

We have already requested that automatic links be limited to 3 per page, but VigLink has to manually set limits for each user account individually. It may take them up to a week to do this.
The exact kind of links are essentially out of our control, but we already asked them to look into limiting the number of links pointing to the same domain to no more than one per page. Since LinkWeaver is a relatively new feature they are still working to improve their algorithm.
For now, if you're seeing anything that displeases you your best recourse is to turn it off.

Looks to me like whatever your tech guys are doing is working. My stats are much more active on Viglink, and I am no longer seeing the rover.ebay as clickouts. Yay! I knew you would. Now if I could just get you to do all my tax paperwork for me, so I could concentrate on earning money. *sigh*

Just send it to "Support", Paula. Eventually, someone will get around to it.

Returning after a long absence and found this post first. I signed up for VigiLink so I think I'm good to go. I'm still not quite sure I understand it but I'll keep reading.
The problem with you guys is that it's not enough to simply read the announcement post. With all the comments the learning is expanded. :) Whew.

Why is VigLink appearing on my Pages when i do NOT have the Viglink box checked on the page.
Are you globally rewriting our links during "your" impressions?

Hi Sunforged,
If you have disabled viglinks on your page then there shouldn't be any. Can you give us an example article of yours where you're seeing this? Thanks.
