Before I possibly waste your time with a page or link .. does the service work by wrapping all links with:

Meaning ALL links get wrapped with the API - but being wrapped doesnt necessarily mean that the service is modifying or redirecting an existing afflink?

I dont see any evidence that the link is changed in the end result but ALL of my links come up at that way if I right click and "copy link"

I was swinging by scooping up a link I knew I used here and was boggled when I pasted it in elsewhere to see multiple lines of code where I expected a single link , lol

That is correct.

• If there is an affiliate program available for an otherwise unaffiliated link, they will attach an affiliation.
• If the link has already been affiliated by the author, Viglink won't modify it (except Amazon and eBay)
• If there's no affiliate program available they will just send it along

However, this is not to be confused with the auto link insertion (LinkWeaver). If an author has unchecked this option for an individual page then VigLink should not insert any links, even during our impressions.

I can indeed see that you still have auto links on your page. At this point we'll have to ask Simon to check on this. 

Sorry to be the cause for such frustration, but rest assured we will bring this up with the team tomorrow and hopefully kill this bug dead.

We partnered with VigLink to open up more possible streams of revenue for our authors in the most user-friendly way. But we're all for transparency and freedom of choice, and definitely don't want to impose onto authors who do not wish to participate. 

We did mention that we consider this to be a "beta-feature" until we've ironed out all the kinks. Thanks for providing feedback which will help us speed up this process.

the issue has just been fixed - thanks for this important bug report!

As of now, link insertion is only activated when ads are allowed on the article in the first place AND the link insertion option is checked. If you prefer, we can allow the link insertion option while automatic ads (AdSense/Chitika) are turned off ...it gives you more options, but requires an extra click to disable all ads including link insertion ...

I agree with Ryan and Sunforged, there are definitely times that I want the link insertion turned off.  I did so on my latest article because the inserted links were confusing to the reader and distracted from the links I put in which directed them to more explanation.

Was this issue ever resolved? I uncheck the LinkWeaver and still get those links on my pages. When I insert my own links, I just think it's too much for the reader. How do I get those links off there? So annoying. Thanks. And why are my links still NOFOLLOW? Sorry, having some frustrating times here and would like something resolved.

VictoriaLynn, I have just looked at each one of your articles and did not see any auto inserted links. Can you point out exactly where this is happening?

I have just reloaded that page dozens of times, but at no time did I see the links you mentioned.

Did you clear your cache after you changed your link insertion settings? It appears to me that you must be seeing cached copies of your pages.

The only text links present on this article are your own coupon site and hubpages links.

I am a newbie here, havent even published a post still....but i am super confused as of now. i registered with wizzley and viglink. Now what am i supposed to do? You gave example of a walkman page, so does that mean i should go to vigilink , take a product from there depending upon my post and then convert it into a link? Is that so- the way we do with amazon? Plz help me out

If you've entered your VigLink settings correctly (i.e. put the email address, which you used to register at VL, into the correct field on your Settings page), then all you need to do is put a direct link to the merchant's product page.

For example, if you article is about green widgets, and Best Buy has an awesome green widget you'd like to feature, then you would go to Best Buy's website, go their green widget product page, copy the link in the address bar, and insert it into your article where it is appropriate.

Hello, I'm also pretty new here to Wizzley and also have some questions regarding using VigLink for Wizzley.

If I have added VigLink to my Wizzley settings, does this mean that I will be earning from VigLink from my Wizzley Amazon modules even if I also have an Amazon ID on my Wizzley settings?

From reading this forum thread, I got that the eBay module will work with VigLink but is this the same for the Amazon module?

Or is it that VigLink is only for text links on your articles? If you put an Amazon text link on your article, will this be affiliated by VigLink and will this mean that you won't earn from your Amazon account with this link because you'll be earning with VigLink instead?

I think I have answered your query in the Viglink wizz where you asked a similar question.

Ceres, I think you have to only have one or the other in your settings - Viglink or Amazon.
