When Will the Kindle Fire Tablet Go on Sale
The latest information available has the Kindle Fire going on sale on November 15. This is good news for those of us who planned to give one of these bad boys as a Christmas gift. I plan on buying one for myself as well.
Unlike the Apple iPad, you must buy this tablet via Amazon. While many people would prefer to stand in line for a few hours just for the right to spend $800 on a product, I would prefer to buy it online and have it shipped directly to my house....weird, I know!
Available Kindle Fire Features
Perhaps the thing that I am most excited about is having the ability to watch full length movies and TV shows from this 14.6 ounce tablet.
No longer will it be necessary to lug my heavy laptop around just to keep my kids occupied while in the car. With 80GB of storage capacity, it is estimated that users can store up to10 full movies, 800 songs, or approximately 6,000 books.
Unlike the black and white Kindles, the Kindle Fire has a seven inch color touchscreen that is said to use up to 16 million colors in crystal clear high resolution detail. In addition to making watching movies a real treat, this will allow me to read my son a bedtime story in full color. Maybe we can even get rid of a few of the thousand books he has laying around on his bedroom floor.
Available Games and Apps
If you are like most people, playing apps has become somewhat of an obsession lately. Seriously! I must have spent the equivalent of a month slinging a few angry birds around the screen. For the more serious folk, all of the popular apps, such as the Weather Channel app, have been fully tested to ensure the perfect game playing experience.
What about its speed, you may be asking yourself. What other tablet sports a dual processor core? You can easily stream music while reading your favorite blog or magazine. You can also surf the net at lightning fast speeds via Amazon's Silk cloud accelerated web browser.
Battery Life
One thing that has always concerned me was how long the battery will last before I have to recharge it.
Per Amazon, users can use the Kindle FireTablet for up to eight hours of reading or just over seven hours of video play. Battery life will, of course, vary slightly based upon how much you use the wireless connection.
Buy a Kindle Fire Tablet
There is one thing for sure, the Kindle Fire will certainly be one of this year's most popular gift requests. I am not sure how many they plan to release during its initial release phase so it is a good idea to go ahead and pre-order your new Kindle Fire Tablet today!
