New Love - A Poem

Isn't it great to feel connected to someone? To feel a sense of urgency when you have the opportunity to call them, to see them, or just to write them?

Have you ever felt something more sublime than to know that someone else gets you where everyone else misses the boat? Have you ever had that special place in your heart, vacant for so long, no matter how many people you've dated, to be filled with amazing clarity and joy, understanding and peace?

what about a conversation with someone that is so comfortable that you don't have to try, you don't have to impress, you don't have to stress about what to talk about, because it doesn't matter, its THAT you're talking that counts or more so that you're there that counts, a conversation that lasts 5 hours and you only feel the time constraints of a few moments.

New love is like that, and it feels grand, it has so much more than you could even explain using the limitations of words, but none the less it is an amazing experience...

when you meet someone who makes you feel things you always knew you had in you but simply had the pilot light burned out, it makes all the difference in the world. Inspiration becomes more developed and vitality at an all time high, creativity becomes adept where it lay dormant, self worth seems to go up as you start to realize someone out there sees what normally only you realize is there...

when you fall in love you find out that the love of two is a power source, and it upgrades everything about both you like a synergy. Music starts to become calling cards of what your feeling inside, everything becomes high definition, where things were just there, they're more vibrant and noticeable.

You have incredible ambitions, and in love you find out that giving is receiving, for in giving selflessly to make them happy you find their happiness is mirrored back with reflection and more power.

Love is trust, compassion, and growth, love can give you more strength than anything in the world.. To recognize it and pass it up is a waste!

To allow your past to betray you by allowing past failures to rob you of future love, you in effect give up the most valuable thing in your life. Love is forgiveness, love can bring you amazing clarity, patience, and ambition.. I've learned that when you have patience and stop looking, love seems to fall in your lap. Life is not about wanting what you love, its loving what you have....
