Product Description: Frozen mozzarella-filled breaded cheesesticks from the Food Club brand. The product is prepared in your oven or microwave and served as a side dish or as a snack. I ended up buying a box of these yesterday evening at one of our local grocery stores. I served them with the pasta dinner I prepared.
Review of Food Club Breaded Cheesesticks

I purchased a box of these yesterday evening. Read to find out if they were worth my money.
Review
My wife was busy assembling my oldest daughter's new bed when I got home from work yesterday evening and, because of that, hadn't even thought about what to make for dinner. Since I knew we had some leftover spaghetti in the fridge, I decided to make something with that and, needing some cheese, took my youngest daughter to the store with me.
While there, she saw the Food Club Cheesesticks in the freezer section and asked if we could get a box. Since they weren't overly expensive, I decided to buy them.
The reason my daughter wanted to buy these was we had a similar product a few days ago and she remembered everyone enjoyed that purchase. And, when I made this purchase, I was quick to remind her it wasn't exactly the same as we had before but would be similar. As it turns out, they weren't even close to being as good as our other purchase.
One of the first things I noticed about these cheesesticks when I took them out of the box was the fact they were heavily buttered. And, when I say that, I mean they were coated in a thick layer of it. Normally, I love butter. Heck, I use it practically every time I cook. But, the gobs of butter this time around only succeeded in making my fingers very slippery (from putting them on the pan) and the cheesesticks themselves kind of greasy when they were cooked and it was very unappetizing as a result.
The other thing that really disappointed me about this product was the lack of cheese inside the sticks. The last brand we purchased (for not much more than we spent on this brand) used more than enough. These, as my oldest daughter described, were kind of hollow and just not as good because of that.

Final Opinion
Normally, I would give this product's shortcomings a pass because of the lower price. However, considering I bought a considerably better product a few days ago for just 20 cents more, I have to say I was pretty disappointed by this purchase. They might work in a pinch. But, there are definitely better options.

I'm not even really sure why they used so much butter. I wonder if they thought it would keep the breadsticks from becoming too hard.
StevenHelmer, It's interesting that the sticks are so over-buttered since that's not presented as a selling point alongside the "authentic hearth baked" garlic and mozzarella stuffing proclaimed on the packaging.
