Review of the Ionic Pro Ionic Air Purifier

I suffer from allergies and they only seem to get worse in the winter, when the house is shut up and I have to deal with dust and pet dander in the air. As a result of this, we have used a variety of air purifiers for the past several years and, for the past two, have been using the Ionic Pro Ionic Air Purifier.

This was something that was given to us as a gift and, when we received it, I honestly did have some doubts about it. However, as it turns out, it is actually one of the best air purifiers we have ever used.

To give you an example of what I’m talking about, we had to shut our windows for the winter season a few weeks ago and, at first, did not use this product (I had put it away in a closet and forgot to set it up). Shortly after the house was shut up, my allergies went into overdrive and I was forced to take pills constantly just to function.

I ended up remembering this purifier a couple weeks ago and set it up in our living room. It has been running ever since and my allergies have not been anywhere near as bad. In fact, we pulled the collector blades out of this filter about a week ago and they were covered in dust and cat hair. Considering I cleaned them before turning it on, that was proof it was pulling stuff out of the air.

Another thing I like about this product is how quiet it is. A lot of similar products will promise less noise. However, most can definitely be heard in the background. This air purifier is silent and, if it weren’t for the light on top, we wouldn’t be able to tell if it was on or not.

The fact I don’t have to replace a filter in it every couple of months (just clean the collector blades) is a big plus too. I’ve had to do that in the past and, in addition to the cost, we always ran into a situation where we couldn’t find the right size and were forced to replace the air purifier as a result. That’s something we don’t have to worry about with this product.

The one thing I was unimpressed by when it came to this purifier was the bonus car purifier that came with it. I plugged that in and it did nothing for my car. I eventually just threw that part of it away and was very glad it wasn’t something I spent extra money on.

If you suffer from allergies, especially dust allergies in the winter, this is a product I do recommend looking for and purchasing. It makes a major difference in our house when I have it running and is saving me from having to take allergy pills constantly.
