Review of Totino's Cheese Party Pizza

by StevenHelmer

I purchased this product for $1.79 last week and served it to my daughters. Read to find out why I recommend it.

Product Description: Frozen cheese pizza from the Totino’s brand that can be prepared in the oven or in a pizza oven. I purchased one of these at one of our local grocery stores last week for $1.79 and made it for my daughters as part of our weekly pizza night (preparing it in the oven as per the instructions on the back of the box). I also purchased another one earlier today with the intention of making it for dinner tonight.

Well Worth the Money

Totino's PizzaMy daughters’ weekly ice skating lessons run kind of late and, because of that, we usually make Wednesday night our family pizza night just because it is easy and quick to make and because we are usually chilled from the ice rink and can use the oven to warm ourselves up quicker.

Even though my wife and I prefer pizzas with lots of toppings, my daughters still want just cheese on their pizza and, because of this, I do end up having to purchase a separate pizza just for them whenever I go to the store. Since I know there’s a chance they won’t eat the whole thing (they are usually really tired by the time we get to eat), I make every effort to reduce the cost of their pizza as much as possible. This is why I purchased the Totino’s Cheese Party Pizza last week.

I’m not really sure why I didn’t think of this earlier because I have had the combination pizza from this brand and enjoyed it. But, after finally purchasing this pizza for my girls last week, I was quick to realize just how great of a move that was.

First of all, this pizza is just the right size for them. As I mentioned, they don’t usually eat a whole lot after they get home from skating practice. This pizza is a little smaller when compared to some other brands but still manages to be enough for the two of them for a fraction of the cost.

What really surprised me, however, was how much my daughters enjoyed it. They can be kind of picky when it comes to pizza, especially the sauce and crust. And, when they don’t like something, they either won’t eat it at all or will take forever eating it. When I gave this pizza to my youngest daughter last week, she had her half of the pizza gone in a matter of minutes with nothing but crumbs on her plate. My oldest daughter (who had actually eaten prior to going to skating) ate almost all of her pizza as well. That is something that did not go unnoticed, especially since I only purchased this pizza because it was the cheapest.

Final Opinion

I made this purchase as a cost-savings move. But, after seeing how much my daughters did end up enjoying this product, I do intend on buying it for them on a weekly basis now.

My Grade: A

StevenHelmer, Thank you for product lines, pretty pictures and practical information.
It's helpful to know about this frozen pizza since, in a pinch, I'll take a pizza shell and add everything fresh or, with less time on my hands, take a cheese pizza and add more toppings.

I tend to think of pizza with soft drinks or sparkling water. What would you all be drinking since you come back cold from the rink?

I'll have to see if my local market sells these pizzas. I was just thinking the other day that it would be good to try a different brand just to do something different. Enjoy your day!
