Comprehensive Saeco Aroma Review

Including PROS and CONS, major selling points examined...

In can be difficult to get gourment style coffee made freshly at home. Some of the designer machines can be upwards of $1000, putting well into the category of "serious investment". To get a very similar quality, there are a number of coffee machines targetting the $200-500 range instead. They are not all equal when it comes to performance and positive benefits, however. The Saeco Aroma attemps to fill the void with a more affordable version that does not skimp on the major selling points of the expensive machines.

Italian Style Quality: The first thing I noticed when drinking an espresso after using the Saeco Aroma was how much of it reminded me of my trip to Italy. This machine turns average beans into gourmet specimens of full bodied flavor. It really does stand its ground against bigger, more expensive machines on the market.

Size: Another unexpected benefit was the very small footprint of the Aroma. It is small and compact, easily fitting on any counter top. No more big hulking gleaming contraptions dominating you counter just for the sake of a cup of coffee. Saeco has really upped the ante by getting more quality packed in per square inch.

Intuitive Controls: The controls are all well laid out, intuitive, and backlit for easy navigation. This makes the whole process that much easier, especially when you are half asleep and groggy in the mornings (like me!).

Easy to Clean: The water tank easily pops out for an easy clean! This is actually a big deal because there are many machines that are pretty complex to take apart and clean.

Stainless Steel: To some people this might not be important, but I absolutely love and appreciate stainless steel appliances in my kitchen. The Saeco Aroma fits right in with all of my other appliances and I actually don't mind leaving it out on display when guests are over. The stainless steel also means that this coffee machine will not rust and will hold up over the long term.

Extremely Competitive Price: This is where the Saeco Aroma really puts the icing on the cake. Similar machines with all the bells and whistles retail for over four times as much and they are alot less intuitive. If you are looking for a similar quality to the high end models, the Saeco is a perfect alternative.

CONS: The Saeco Aroma sometimes gets a bad rap for have temperature problems due to the temperature "surfing" being finicky. In truth, people neglect to refill the water after steaming which is about 99% of the issue. If you know this simple fact, the Saeco Aroma measures up as one of the best coffee machines in its class. If you don't know this simple fact, you will probably not have an enjoyable experience. Note: this is a common "issue" with most single boiler machines. All it takes is a simple refill of the water after steaming and you will a full gourmet coffee experience.
