Sheldon Cooper Clock Explanation - what does 0b mean in 11?

The Big Bang Theory is one of my favorite shows and the Sheldon Cooper clock is inspired from it. Here is a full meaning for what the symbols mean.

He is the main character of a comedy show, which revolves around 4 scientists and their girlfriends and sisters. These scientists are the ultimate nerds and geeks out there, but Sheldon Cooper is the main. Want to see what he is up to?

What is 0b in Sheldon Cooper Clock?

It obviously means 11, but how do you get it?

In hexadecimal system, any number is represented by a set of numbers and alphabets from 0 to 9, then from a to f. With this, the number 11 means it's corresponding to the alphabet "b". That's why, 0b=011=11.

1 Tan 45 is equal to 1.
2 The square root of 4 is 2.
3 The value of pi is 3.14159..., so when it is round up, it is equal to 3.
4 ln(e^4) is 4 times ln(e). Since ln (e) is equal to 1, 4 x ln (e) = 4
5 Solve the equation to get the value of x. X is equal to square root of 25, which is equal to 5.
6 3! is 3 times 2 times 1, which is 6.
7 6.9 bar means 6.99999999.. which practically means 7.
8 This one is no brainer. 16 divided by 2 is 8.
9 3 times 3.
10 [g] is the ceiling of g. "g" represents the acceleration due to gravity, so it's tentatively equal to 9.81 m/s². Its ceiling is 10.
11 0b As explained earlier, 0b is equal to 11
12 When 1100₍₂₎ is converted to the decimal number system, it is 12.

Remember the days of high school when you had to remember the tangent of the cosine of that angle between the two adjacent sides of an isosceles triangle? Well, those days are back. Because you will need to learn those again to know what time is it right now. Well... not in a literal sense, but you know - you literally need to calculate! But again, there are some simpler version of the Maths formulas and equalities. With just two levels of calculations, you can solve the equation.

The show "The Big Bang Theory" is similar to that - it is related to science, but also showcases the people behind making science. It has so much in common with the real-life engineers, scientists and doctors that it is great to watch to making fun of those people (aka - people like me, us and we!).

Without Science, my life would be empty and I always try to find a scientific logic into doing something productive everyday.
