Skylanders Costumes

It is hard not to like Spyro.

He is, in fact, one of my son's favorite Skylanders characters which is why I am so happy that he was one of the first Skylanders Halloween costumes licensed this season.

This Spyro Skylanders costume comes complete with a bold, powerful purple colored jumpsuit that features awesome matching wings that are permanently attached (yeah for not making them detachable; since those never stay in place).

A really cool Spyro character mask is also included and truly helps set this Skylanders costume apart for your typical dragon costume.

As you can see, this officially licensed Skylanders costume comes with every thing you will need for Halloween; except for shoes. Of course, any pair that you have will work out perfectly for this outstanding outfit.

I was actually pleasantly surprised to hear that the second Skylanders costume to be released this year was the Trigger Happy costume.

I truly figured that they would go with a costume more in line with the overall theme; such as Hex or Chop Chop.

This Trigger Happy Costume comes complete with a goldish colored jumpsuit with cool little animal print detailing. It also comes complete with fun gun hand covers and a kid friendly Skylanders character mask.

This costume is also an officially licensed Skylander costume.

Perhaps the most exciting thing to be released this summer are Skylanders Sidekicks.

These bad boys are going to be awesome. Even better, you can only get these rare Skylanders as part of a mail away Frito Lay promotion.

When does Skylanders Giant come out?

While it is certainly true that no Skylanders Giants costumes have been released yet, it is my hope that they will release a few in conjunction with the release of Skylanders Giants in the fall.

What we do know is that Activision will be releasing 8 new Skylanders Giants, 4 Lightcore Skylanders, 8 new regular sized Skylanders, and 24 re-released figures (all in brand new poses).

My guess is that they will retire the old poses so make sure you grab one of each before the new wave of Skylanders toys hit the shelves.

When they are, I will be sure to update this page so that you can find them all in one, easy to read place.
