In Colorado the aspen trees turn gold and orange and the best time to view them is usually late September or early October.
In this lens I will cover some local restaurants and gives suggestions for lodging as well as activities of local interest. I love to travel, don't you?
The towns of Silverthorne, Dillon and Breckenridge are all in Summit County. Summit County, known as Colorado's playground, is located in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains approximately 75 miles west of Denver on Interstate 70. All three places have lodging that is close to high country skiing. Silverthorne is also located on the Colorado Trail between Durango and Lake City, Colorado. Summit county has many outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, camping, walking, bike riding, snowboarding, and skiing. Come and enjoy your choice. For maps of the back country stop check by the ranger Station located at 135 Blue River Parkway in Silverthorne.
Summit County's four ski areas - Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, and Copper Mountain collectively attract more skiers than any other ski destination in North America. All great places for a vacation - come play!

Your Comments: Have you been to Summit County? If so what time of year?
I've never been to Colorado, but maybe one day.
