Surprisingly Little Action
When I heard the words “demon brothel” and “witch,” I honestly got excited about this episode’s potential. But, to tell you the truth, I did end up being a little disappointed by the overall lack of action throughout.
The part with Cole getting the drop on Dean was kind of a dud in my opinion. When his character was first introduced this season, I was expecting so much more from him. Instead, he got his butt kicked in one episode and, with a little more difficulty; Dean defeated him again in relatively quick fashion before talking him out of his vengeful ways. It honestly seemed to be almost pointless to even have him as a character on this series. Unless, of course, it is setting up a bigger story relating to the unknown, liver-eating, creature that looked like Cole’s dad.
This episode also said goodbye, at least for now, to Hannah (Erica Carroll). This one almost seemed like a cop-out to me, as though the writers couldn’t really figure out what to do with her and decided to simply write her off the show or, at very least, demote her to a lesser role. I have a feeling she was supposed to have been a potential love interest for Castiel (Misha Collins) but, other than a little nudity and that one kiss, it never really panned out and, unless, of course, they have something else in mind for her, I think she’ll be somewhat forgettable.
I will admit the character Rowena (Connell) is somewhat intriguing because she sort of falls into a neutral category. She doesn’t seem particularly evil; after all she did save those girls from the demons. But, at the same time, she doesn’t seem to care if someone gets hurt or dies from one of her spells, which she typically casts in order to gain some sort of luxury, such as dinner at a fancy restaurant or a free stay at a high-class hotel. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of role she’ll play, especially after the revelation she’s Crowley’s (Mark Sheppard) mom (which I correctly guessed when we were watching this).

Final Opinion
This episode definitely lacked the action I was expecting it to have and, at least on the surface, was somewhat dull. However, I have a feeling this episode was meant to set up something bigger and, because of that, I’m going to avoid saying it was a complete waste of my time.
