My wife and I both love to make home-cooked dinners. However, our hectic schedules do often prevent this (especially early in the week, when my wife needs to work later and our daughters have figure skating lessons) and, as a result of that, there are days when we have to focus on keeping things simple.
One of the ways we end up doing this is by, on occasion, picking up some hamburger (or ground pork) and making sloppy Joes. And, while we use a variety of different canned sauces for this (usually making the decision based on price) there are three sauces that have really stood out.

OK, to be fair, this brand might be a bit too obvious because it is one of the best-known brands out there. But, there’s a good reason for that, it’s a good sauce. In fact, I feel comfortable saying this brand is the one that sets the standard for sloppy Joe sauces.

It does not offer the same chunky texture the Manwich brand does, which is why I would rank it lower. However, more often than not, it does win out in the price category. And, that, combined with the decent flavor, does usually result in this brand being purchased more often than the others. I would especially recommend this brand if you are planning on having a party and need to make a large quantity.
This is a brand I consider an in-between brand. Again, it isn’t as good as the Manwich brand. However, I do like the flavor of this sloppy Joe sauce better than the Our Family brand and most other brands for that matter because it has a fantastic blend of seasonings.

StevenHelmer, Thank you for practical information, pretty pictures and product lines.
You mention in your wizzley about reducing monthly grocery budgets that you substitute ground pork for ground beef whenever you can.
Which sauce would you use if you were making a ground-pork Sloppy Joe? Would it be the same or different for a ground-beef Sloppy Joe?
I am a big fan of the Manwich Sloppy Joe sauce. I used to buy it in powder form, and mix it with canned tomato sauce. I have not tried any other brand, so it's nice to hear your review of other kinds.
