I love that spelling of fayres! I love pies too, and have a pie basket made by a local basket company here in New Hampshire. It has a stand so I could carry 2 pies - if I had someplace to go with 2 home-baked pies.

Getting Through a Power Outage

Having some candles helps, too. Use them for light, and you can keep a bathroom warm if you light one or two candles and keep the door shut. A sterno camp stove is also useful for cooking, but not indoors.
